Don’t use Dr. Google

A patient who is a marathon runner and training for the upcoming NYC marathon and has moderate knee pain that we just evaluated said, “Well Dr. Google told me that I have….”. We laughed together. Very cute but be sure that you are not relying on Dr. Google for medical advice! And it just so happens that Dr. Google was right this time. Great information and thank goodness we have access to such information but be sure to see your healthcare providers when having pain of unknown cause.

So very proud to be a member of the Section on Women’s Health, American Physical Therapy Association. Incredible Board of Directors, great educational courses, keeping members abreast of all women’s and men’s pelvic health topics via conferences and our journal. Having been one of the instructors of their Pelvic Pain course, teaching at many Combined Sections Meetings, getting published in the journal, and being on the vulvar pain task force years ago have been an honor.
